Revolutionizing the ultimate travel watch with Rolex’s GMT-Master II

    August 30, 2023
Facebook WhatsApp Twitter Pinterest LinkedIn Telegram Tumblr Email Reddit VKontakte

The Rolex GMT-Master II is making waves with its two latest versions – one in yellow Rolesor, a blend of Oystersteel and yellow gold, and another in 18 ct yellow gold. These timepieces debut a groundbreaking grey-black Cerachrom bezel insert, redefining the color palette of this iconic model.

Originally designed as a navigational aid, the GMT-Master has evolved to become a top choice for international travelers. The watch boasts a unique aesthetic with its bidirectional rotatable bezel and 24-hour graduated insert. The Rolex GMT-Master II, introduced in 1982, took this functionality up a notch with an independent hour hand setting feature.

Rolex’s innovation extends to the Cerachrom bezel inserts made from advanced ceramics. These are scratch-resistant, deeply colored, and resistant to environmental damage. In these new releases, the bidirectional rotatable bezel hosts a grey-black ceramic Cerachrom insert with yellow gold-coated numerals and graduations.

Rolesor, Rolex’s proprietary blend of Oystersteel and yellow gold, first registered in 1933, serves as an epitome of Rolex’s commitment to elegance and reliability. In the new yellow Rolesor version of the GMT-Master II, the gold accents highlight the bezel, winding crown, and bracelet center links.

Featuring a 40 mm Oyster case guaranteed to be waterproof up to 100 meters, the new versions of the GMT-Master II epitomize strength and dependability. Crafted from a solid block of Oystersteel or 18 ct yellow gold, these cases provide ultimate protection for the sophisticated movement within.

The new GMT-Master II watches are equipped with calibre 3285, offering peak performance in precision, power reserve, and reliability. This movement incorporates Rolex’s patented Chronergy escapement and a blue Parachrom hairspring for increased shock resistance and energy efficiency.

The new models come fitted with a Jubilee bracelet that combines suppleness with security. The bracelet is equipped with the Oysterlock folding safety clasp and the Easylink comfort extension link for effortless length adjustment.

As with all Rolex watches, the new GMT-Master II models are subjected to stringent in-house tests that go beyond official COSC certification. The green seal that accompanies every Rolex watch represents this Superlative Chronometer status and comes with an international five-year guarantee.
